Job Title: Sales Engineer (Hydraulic Equipment)

Job Description: As a Sales Engineer specializing in hydraulic equipment, your primary responsibility is to drive sales growth by effectively promoting and selling hydraulic products and solutions to customers. You will play a crucial role in understanding customer requirements, providing technical expertise, and building strong relationships to maximize revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the designated territory or market segment.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking prospects and opportunities through effective CRM usage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer service, to deliver comprehensive solutions to customers.
Technical Expertise:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of hydraulic equipment, systems, and components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and fluid power systems.
- Understand customer applications and provide expert advice on appropriate hydraulic solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical training sessions for customers, both in-person and virtually.
- Stay updated with industry developments, new product releases, and advancements in hydraulic technology.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners.
- Actively engage with customers to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide timely solutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle, from pre-sales consultations to post-sales support.
- Conduct regular customer visits, attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network and expand the customer base.
Sales Support and Documentation:
- Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and contracts, ensuring accurate pricing, specifications, and terms.
- Collaborate with the internal team to develop customized solutions and provide accurate technical specifications.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence summaries for management review.
- Maintain thorough documentation of customer interactions, sales activities, and project progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven sales experience in the hydraulic equipment industry or a similar technical sales role.
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
